What Is the Average Cost of Porcelain Veneers?
Q: What is the going rate for porcelain veneers?
A: We all fall for esthetic packaging designs that make us buy a certain product or service. The other day I was buying dog food (for the dog; not me) and I noticed my Chipin’s (1/2 Chihuahua ½ mini-pincher) favorite food now come in “filet minion” flavor. Now I ask you; when was the last time you saw a bunch of dogs eating at Morton’s steakhouse? What’s next, “Gluten-Free Kale” flavor?
Many seek treatment at our office for a permanent solution to an aging, or unsightly smile via porcelain veneers. Just check out the veneer gallery on our website for hundreds of cases. Although not a recognized board specialty of dentistry, it is important that you got to an office that does many, many cases and has taken years of continuing education in cosmetic dentistry.
As a former staff member of Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan, followed by Good Samaritan Medical center in West Palm Beach, and currently JFK Medical Center, I have many patient who are physicians and surgeons themselves. My staff and I appreciate the trust they and many retired physicians and dentist have placed in our implant and cosmetic work.
Currently, 50% of dentists who do veneers charge over $1246 for a single veneer, and 50% charge less. Remember, a typical case involves doing ten veneers at one time. These numbers hold true for all of South Florida.
Obviously there are regional variations based on cost of living. I almost fainted when a patient form Manhattan told me that many dentists there are charging $3000 to $4000 per veneer! No wonder I could not afford to see Broadway shows when I lived in Manhattan; I’m lucky I was not eating Purina when I lived there!
