DENTAL VENEERS IN PALM BEACH, FL

DENTAL VENEERS IN PALM BEACH, FL

Why Choose Veneers?

Dental veneers are attached only to the front of the teeth, unlike crowns, another popular dental procedure, which completely cover a tooth. This means that less of the tooth must be removed while being prepared for the veneer. They can be used to conceal minor flaws, treating issues such as:

  • Cracked, chipped, or broken teeth
  • Stained teeth (that cannot be whitened with traditional methods)
  • Deformed teeth
  • Worn or uneven teeth
  • Gaps in teeth
  • Teeth alignment issues

Veneers are a popular choice in cosmetic dentistry because they are affordable and versatile, yet a simple solution.

What are Dental Veneers?

If you are interested in making some cosmetic changes to your smile, dental veneers could be the solution for you. These are thin porcelain shells that are attached to the front of the teeth, changing their appearance. They are custom-made and can make a big difference in improving the look of a smile. You can find this solution at Dr. Mitchell Josephs in Palm Beach, FL.

Procedure for Placing Veneers

To have veneers placed at Dr. Mitchell Josephs will take at least two appointments. A local anesthetic will be used in order to minimize pain and discomfort. The teeth will first be prepared to receive the veneers by having a small amount of the enamel removed. Once the teeth have been prepared and sufficient room has been created for the veneers to fit, an impression will be taken. This impression will be sent to a dental laboratory where the veneers will be created. Your dentist will place temporary veneers on the prepared teeth to keep them protected until your next visit. It usually takes two to four weeks for treatment to be completed.

You will return to Dr. Mitchell Josephs to have the temporary veneers removed and the permanent veneers placed onto your teeth. Your dentist will check the fit and make adjustments as needed before permanently bonding them to your teeth. A special cement will be used and the teeth will be cured using a special light beam. Excess cement will then be removed and the fit will be checked one more time before you leave.
