Custom-made to fit your natural teeth, they can make a significant difference in achieving a beautiful smile. Procedure for Placing Dental Veneers
To have dental veneers placed at Dr. Mitchell Josephs’ office will take at least two appointments. A local anesthetic will be used when needed to minimize discomfort. The teeth will first be prepared by removing a small amount of enamel from the tooth surface. When the teeth have been shaped and sufficient room has been created for the veneers to fit, an impression will be taken. This impression will be sent to a dental laboratory, where your ultra-thin, completely natural, porcelain veneers will be created. Your dentist will place a temporary veneer on the prepared teeth to protect them until your permanent veneers are ready. It usually takes about two weeks for the final porcelain veneers to be completed.
You will return to Dr. Mitchell Josephs to have the temporary veneer removed and the permanent veneers placed onto your teeth. Your dentist in Palm Beach will check the fit and make adjustments as needed before permanently bonding them to your natural tooth. A special cement is used, and the veneers are light-cured to ensure long-lasting results. Excess cement will be removed, and the fit will be checked one more time before you leave. To maintain your new smile, follow proper care guidelines, including regular visits and good dental hygiene.
